Field of Remembrance
Remembrance Sunday Gateshead Cenotaph; For the seventh year running, the North-East Field of Remembrance will be in Saltwell Park. It’s normal that the field will be greater than in earlier years as we mark the centennial of World War One.
From Friday 26 October crosses will be accessible for a little gift in different scenes around Gateshead including the Civic Center, the bistro in Saltwell Towers and a Royal British Legion slow down in Saltwell Park.
The devotion function happens on Saturday 3 November at 10.45am gone to by the Mayor of Gateshead together with other community heads from the North East and delegates of the Armed Forces. The field will stay open for about fourteen days after the function for any other individual wishing to plant a cross.
Friday 9 November
Amass at Birtley Cenotaph at 6.45pm for a short wreath-laying service
Meet at Crookhill School at 10.30am to stroll with classes to the War Memorial for a wreath-laying function and petitions.
Sorted out by the Durham Light Infantry Association. Administration will begin at 10.45am at the DLI Memorial.
Saturday 10 November

Sunday 11 November
Cenotaph, Prince Consort Road. Administration will begin at 10.45am pursued by a wreath laying function and a walk past.
Leave Birtley Community Center at 10.30am for Birtley Cenotaph for 10.45am for administration and a wreath-laying service. It would be ideal if you note that the Cenotaph doors will be shut down at 4.30pm.
St Cuthbert’s Church. Administration begins 10.15am pursued by administration at the War Memorial at 12 early afternoon.

St Nicholas Church at 10am for administration at that point continue to War Memorial for wreath laying service at 11am. Refreshments will be served a while later in Church Hall.
Nursery of Remembrance, Felling at 10.45am for a short administration and wreath laying service at 11am (if wet, it would be ideal if you clear a path to St Mary’s Church at Heworth).

St Patricks Church at 9am for administration at that point continue to War Memorial for an Act of Remembrance at 10am.

Low Fell Boer War Memorial
Durham Road, Low Fell. Administration will begin at 10.45am pursued by a wreath-laying function.
St Cuthbert’s Church at 10.15am for administration and wreath laying service.
Meet at Town Square (inverse House of Fraser) at 2.45pm for administration and wreath-laying service at 3pm. An ensemble will sing from 2.30pm.
Strathmore Methodist Church at 10.45am with a 2 moment quietness at 11am. An Act of Remembrance will be held at Rowlands Gill War Memorial at 12noon. A Service for the Centenary of the part of the bargain War will happen at St Barnabas at 6pm.
