Witches, goblins and ghosts are invading the streets of New York for this year’s Halloween festivities. Halloween is a huge event in the U.S. with haunted houses, parties and even parades going on all weekend.

The annual spooky holiday of Halloween is here and kids everywhere are getting ready to eat loads of candy tonight. In other words, now’s the time to start picking out your spooky costumes, creepy music, and of course, a scary quote or two.

I don’t know that there are real ghosts and goblins, but there are always more trick-or treaters than neighborhood kids.

There is something haunting in the light of the moon; it has all the dispassionateness of a disembodied soul, and something of its inconceivable mystery.

Clothes make a statement. Costumes tell a story.

He looked up at the stars as the storm closed in and saw them extinguished, one-by-one, until just two remained. They glimmered and shone through gaps in the clouds like two great eyes in the darkness, burning on a demon’s face that chased him across the sea.

Proof of our society’s decline is that Halloween has become a broad daylight event for many.
