Happy Valentines Day Cocktails
Sooo, Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday this year. *sighs* As the first day of the workweek, we’re supposed to be on our best behavior, still naively believing that we won’t drink again until Friday (or at the very least, Thursday), right?
But if nothing else, Valentine’s Day is the ultimate day to turn up in the name of love–and this year, it’s the perfect excuse to do so on a Monday. Whether you’re throwing a rager for all your coupled-up pals or having a night with the galentines, you’re going to need to whip up some V-Day cocktails. Even if you have a sexy date night planned, something to sip on will still be v necessary. Leave the worries of Tuesday hangovers behind, and celebrate with a special drink that will sweep you off your feet whilst still making sure you make it to your morning Zoom meeting on time.

In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce lime juice, 1 or 2 slices jalapeño, and 1 teaspoon agave syrup. Muddle a few times. Fill shaker with ice. Pour in 2 ounces grapefruit juice and 2 ounces silver tequila. Shake until chilled. Rim a highball glass with pink Himalayan salt, then fill with ice. Strain chilled contents from shaker into the glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with another slice of jalapeño and a small wedge of grapefruit.

2The Cointreau Cosmo
In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce cointreau, 2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce cranberry juice, and 1 ounce fresh lime juice. Add ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Rim a martini glass with chocolate syrup. Combine 1½ ounces chocolate liqueur, 1½ ounces Kahlua, 1½ ounces Baileys Irish cream, 2 ounces brewed espresso, 2 ounces half-and-half, and ¼ cup crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Cover and shake well. Strain into prepared glass. If desired, garnish with fresh raspberries.

4Rosé Aperol Spritz
Fill a wine glass with ice, then add 1 ounce Aperol, 2 ounces simple syrup, 2 ounces sparkling rosé, and then 1 ounce grapefruit juice. Feel free to garnish with a grapefruit peel “rose.”

5Blackberry Hot Toddy
Run a lemon wedge along the rim of a mug or cocktail tumbler. Rim the glass in a bowl of 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Mash 3 ounces blackberries (half a package) in a colander over a bowl to capture juice. Add 2 ounces bourbon whiskey, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, remaining juice from the lemon wedge, and ½ cup hot water or tea to blackberry juice. Pour in the leftover brown sugar and stir until sugar dissolves. Pour mixture into the sugar-rimmed glass and garnish with a blackberry and vanilla stick.

9Raspberry Thyme Margarita

First, pour simple syrup onto a flat plate. And on another plate, place some red sprinkles. Grab a glass and place the rim of it onto the simple syrup, then in the sprinkles. Fill your cup with ice and add 3 ounces white cranberry juice, 1 ounce vodka, 2 ounces lemon-lime soda, and 1 ounce grenadine. Stir and serve!

18Tanteo Tequila Red-Pepper-ita
Puree a red pepper in a blender. For each cocktail: In a shaker with ice, combine 1¾ ounces Tanteo Chipotle Tequila (or the tequila of your choice), ¼ ounce mezcal, ¾ ounce red pepper puree, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, and ½ ounce simple syrup or light agave nectar. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with a red pepper wedge.

20Grapefruit Tequila Mojito
Place 6 to 10 fresh mint leaves in a sturdy glass. Squeeze in juice from 1 lime and use a muddler to gently crush the mint. Stir in 2 tablespoons grapefruit juice, 2 tablespoons simple syrup, and 1½ ounces tequila, and strain if desired. Add 1 cup ice and ⅓ cup seltzer water. Garnish the glass with a mint spring and a lime wedge.

In a highball glass filled with ice, add 2 ounces Absolut Mandarin and 4 ounces blood-orange soda. Garnish with chili threads and message hearts.
In a shaker filled with ice, add 1 ounce Sauza Signature Blue Silver Tequila, ½ ounce lime juice, and ½ ounce simple syrup. Strain into a glass and top with champagne.
